God listens to our prayers and knows our hearts better than we do. It takes a lot to build a house, but it takes even more to build a home so let wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and love always be present in our homes so that joy can prosper greatly. Some even view having a house as an accomplishment, a milestone. And, a big part of me believes that aside from the logical reasons, we view houses as essential parts of our lives because we long for a place we can call our own. Let us see what the Lord tells us by exploring Bible verses for a new home.
It’s something we’ve been dreaming of since before we got married, and we feel so truly blessed to watch it all finally unfold. When we formed our house plans from scratch, we made sure that we had the things we needed, but also things that we really wanted , too. If you’ve been blessed with a new home, or a “new-to-you home,” thank God for it, and ask Him to make His presence known in the home by making others feel welcome. Let them see that your family lives in the unity of faith…not perfectly, for no such family exists, but looking at the Perfect One…the Son of God Who desires to make His abode in your home. 18 My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.

I want it to be totally dedicated to the Lord because of all he has brought us through. The s inspires us to do something similar this week as the walls are going up in our forever home. My husband and I both lost our spouses suddenly, went through a tough grieving period, and eventually found each other with Gods help.

Building A House
God is interested in all the affairs of our lives and even in daily maintenance and furnishing, His involvement is paramount in having a beautiful and well maintained structure. Building a house takes wisdom and ingenuity. It also requires wisdom to maintain a house as a lack of good care and maintenance can cause degradation or disrepair. When Solomon chose to erect the house of the Lord, he was instructed by his father David to include God in his plans. This is necessary as building takes labour and effort and building without God is meaningless.
“veryone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. We’ve been praying over our home every step of the way. We pray for and seek God’s guidance as we make big decisions regarding our home every single week. Christ is the cornerstone of our faith and our family, and we knew we wanted to honor Him in all things during this build. Through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures. 8And they all plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and to cause confusion in it.
Family and friends took time out of their busy schedules to come shower our new home with bible verses and prayer. I walked around my house for days after the party just crying, and I am not a crier. God wants to bless our homes and pour out His abundant goodness in our lives so that we can experience His peace as we rest comfortably in our haven. Owning a house is a significant achievement and God wants us to celebrate this special milestone.
In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit. No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. For as the days of a tree, so will be the days of my people; my chosen ones will long enjoy the work of their hands.
